I was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1979. Yes I am almost 40... Health and alternative medicine have been always my passion.
I started my path studying Chinese medicine and I became a Shiatsu Therapist in 2002. After I finished, I chose to specialise in pregnancies, baby development and women's health.
After 4 years of studying the art of Shiatsu , my passion for supporting women in both mind and body became my niche. This lead me to practices in maternity and children's hospitals in Europe.
Discovering the magic of labour techniques, I confidently moved into becoming a Doula, including birthing programs both pre and postnatal, where I helped women, partners and new babies connect, energise and relax during this crucial time. During that time I studied reflexology, Psycho-endoneuro-immunology, (the study of the interaction between psychological processes and the nervous and immune systems of the human body), metamorphic massage, aromatherapy. Any extra knowledge was so important for me.
Becoming a Shantala instructor (massages for babies) gave me so many tools in my work with Mums and babies. I ran my business "Lazy Mumma" in Spain for 4 years, managing a crew of people offering a mobile service and helping Mamas to feel supported and cared for in their own house during and after pregnancy.
Three years ago my family and I moved to Australia, where I then ventured into Colon-hydrotherapy, discovering how important and vital it is for gut health in life. Since then I immerse myself in discovering how to heal and change people's lives using this therapy and other techniques.
WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?
I have always loved helping people - I think I got that from my Grandma, she was a special woman.
Seeing transformation in my clients is my goal. I do believe everybody can change their life. It is never too late to feel better.
I found that with Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine, time is needed to see and feel the the change, but since I started colon-hydrotherapy I feel I have found the key for a quicker and better improvement in gut health. The health of the gut is the beginning of everything.
I do what I do because it is my passion, simple as that.
WHAT DOES YOUR MORNING RITUAL CONSIST OF? Hahahahha!!...Funny question, my mornings are:
wake up, prepare breakfast, lunch boxes, shower, dress up Dana, feed the cat, feed the guinea pigs, feed the fish, pick up Dana's friend and drop them both at school, survive the drop-off drama, get in my car
and breathe before I get to work.
If the question was, "how you wish your morning ritual was” I would love to wake up early and be able to run, go to the ocean and have a little swim, come back home, have my breakfast, and start my day. I am trying, but at the moment the morning ritual is saved for Sundays.
THREE THINGS YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT:
My family, feeling the sun, and lazy mornings in bed laughing with my daughter and husband
TOP THREE PIECES OF ADVICE TO YOUR CLIENTS:
My advice will always be different because
every person is in a different stage of their
life when they come looking for help.
But my top 3 pieces of advice would be:
Be kind with yourself, breathe and think positive.
